During the Newton Abbot Festival of Transport 2000 event over the weekend of the 13th and 14th May, Pannier Tank No.9600 worked shuttle train services between Paignton and Heathfield. On the 14th, 9600 enters Paignton with the last train of the event from Heathfield.
